Not me! Monday

Happy Monday all!

I DID NOT not forget about Not Me! Monday. I just couldn't come up with anything exciting to say.

Though I DID NOT have a little break down (again) this week about our house sale. I was NOT completely annoyed with the lack of consideration for people who come at dinner time or bedtime to see the house, who don't leave feedback, or who "didn't realize the house only had one bath". Seriously?

I DID NOT spend $124 for an appliance repair man to use a shop vac to unclog the drain to my dishwasher.

On Sunday morning, I DID NOT forget how long it had been since I had washed my hair. I mean I had bathed, but was just unclear on the last time I had actually used shampoo...wait, I did not forget, so I of course remembered it was Wednesday.

On a more serious note, Stellan is in a pretty serious situation and is heading into surgery soon. Please be in prayer for him and his family.

Have a great week all!

Friday Funnies

Stuart: When I grow up, I'm gonna marry a girl.
Me: Yep. Do you think you already know who she is?
Stuart: I don't know. Maybe I could marry one of Sabrina's friends.
Sabrina: My friends at First Friends? [her mom's day out]
Me: Like who?
Stuart: Maybe Ruthie. I could marry Ruthie.
Sabrina: NO, NO, NO! You can't marry Ruthie! She's my friend!
Me: Sabrina, it's OK, then your friend would be your sister. Like Aunt Melissa and me.
Sabrina: [extremely long pause and then disbelievingly] No, Ruthie's my friend not my sister.
Chase: [from the back seat] I'm still not likely to marry.

And just a fun picture of the possible future Mrs. Whitmer & Sabrina

Not me! Monday

Oh, what a great week. Nothing like this happened. We would never do these things.

I DID NOT take way too many pictures of my daughter in her ballet class costume because she was so excited. Nope, I don't have a lot of pictures of the girl in her pink leotard, tights, slippers, and skirt, dancing around the house.

I DID NOT feed my children hot dogs cut up in Mac N Cheese with peas and carrots also mixed in. I would never give them such unhealthy food. My husband DID NOT finish off what the kids left behind.

I DID NOT get completely engrossed in a novel that I was skimming for niece Jackie. She's 12; I wanted to make sure the content was appropriate. I DID NOT take this book to the Y to finish it.

I also DID NOT laugh at my children when they became engrossed with watching Pride & Prejudice with me. Stuart was not so riveted by the first Mr. Darcy proposal, that he did not go to the next DVD to see what happened next.

We DID NOT have a fabulous Easter with family and friends celebrating Jesus and the freedom and redemption of His Resurrection!

Have a wonderful week!

Prayers for Stellan

Please still be praying for Stellan.

Not me! Monday

Oh this week again, please don't forget Stellan in your prayers. His prognosis isn't great; he and his family need you support in pray.

Here are several things I DID NOT do this week. I would NEVER be involved in the following activities.

I DID NOT tell my husband that only one of my children makes me want to say bad words.

I DID NOT hit a wall last week with raising children, selling a house, dealing with family, etc. Nope, totally in control at all times.

I DID NOT spend any time at all looking for behind-the-scenes Twilight stuff. I am NOT at all addicted to this story and I have NOT become mildly trapped into the commercialization of it.

Have a great week!

Thursday Thoughts

  • I have moments of complete break-down that often lead to break-though
  • I have far more patience than I think I have
  • Being thankful completely changes my attitude
  • Scripture always realigns my perspective
  • I like listening to podcasts, following twitter and blogs way to much
  • I want to move so badly I may just scream (There I did it, that was better. Oh, but I still want to move)
  • My children are amazingly independent and there's a small part of me that wishes that they weren't
  • I really hate the misuse of reply all
  • Prayer changes me and encourages others

Not me! Monday

Prayers for Stellan

Before the fun, 5 month old Stellan is very ill. He has been in the PICU for a week with SVT (super high heart rate) and he is not improving. Please pray for this baby and the family.

I DID not pout at all this week that some complications with my pregnancy grounded me in St. Louis for Spring Break, canceling a little jaunt to Memphis.

My daughter Sabrina did not decorate my entryway with lipstick. I was not whiny or pouting at all. I DID NOT sit on the floor and cry because of feeling overwhelmed. I DID NOT call my husband or friend in tears.

I DID NOT order pizza online so I didn't need to prepare food to feed my children. They had NOT watched 5 hours of videos. Of course they didn't b/c they have a limit of 30 minutes of screen time a day. Five hours would be ludicrous. During that 5 hours they DID NOT watch Monsters, Inc. twice in a row. I DID NOT completely throw all my parenting instincts out the window.

Have a great week and please pray for Stellan.
